Team Canada is in the gold medal game of the 2024 International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Hockey Championship in Utica, New York. On Saturday, Canada beat the Czech Republic 4-0 in the second semifinal.

Canadian Olympic gold medalist Ann-Renee Desbiens of La Malbaie, Quebec notched the shutout as she made nine saves. She made one save in the first period, five saves in the second period and three saves in the third period. Desbiens won a gold medal for Canada at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.

The four Canadian goal scorers were Canadian Olympic gold medalists Jocelyne Larocque of Ste. Anne, Manitoba, Sarah Fillier of Georgetown, Ontario, Emily Clark of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and Blayre Turnbull of Stellarton, Nova Scotia. Larocque, Clark and Canadian Olympic gold medalist Laura Stacey of Mississauga, Ontario had multi-point games. Larocque and Clark each had a goal and an assist for two points, while Stacey had two assists. Larocque, Fillier, Clark, Turnbull, and Stacey won a gold medal for Canada at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing. Larocque also won a gold medal for Canada at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. 

Canada will play the United States in the gold medal game on Sunday. The United States beat Finland 5-0 in the other semifinal.
