St. Albert man charged with impaired driving after highway collision

A St. Albert man is facing impaired driving charges after police responded to a highway collision near Fort Saskatchewan Thursday.

At 11:59 p.m., Fort Saskatchewan RCMP and emergency crews were responding to a report of a collision between two pick-up trucks at the intersection of Highway 15 and Highway 21, police said in a Friday news release.

Upon arrival, emergency responders treated the driver and passenger of one of the trucks — one of whom suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries — and transported them to hospital. The driver and lone occupant of the other truck was not injured.
