Police investigate death of St. Theresa Point First Nation man as homicide

The death of a 26-year-old man from St. Theresa Point First Nation is considered a homicide after Winnipeg police found him near Maryland Street and Wellington Avenue Sunday night.

Winnipeg police are investigating the death of a man from St. Theresa Point First Nation as a homicide.

Kevin Delaney Flett, 26, was pronounced dead in hospital after police found him near Maryland Street and Wellington Avenue Sunday at about 11:20 p.m. following a report of an injured man.

In a news release Monday, police said they provided Flett with emergency medical care before he was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Police are waiting for an autopsy.
