The extreme weather and snowfall warnings may no longer be in effect, but that doesn’t mean the snow has stopped falling.
In fact, we’ll be getting some light snowfall throughout the morning, with 15 km/h winds blowing them hither and thither. The winter cold remains, with a high of -15 C and a wind chill of -19 in the afternoon. Tuesday will bring us a small reprieve from the snow, with a high of -7 and a wind chill of -13. But Thursday brings more inches of the powder, with a high of -6 C and periods of snow throughout the day.

If you have to go out on the roads, please make sure wear warm clothes and winter boots, and always keep a spare set of gloves in the car! You never know when you might have a slip on the road and have to keep yourself warm while you wait for a tow.

Parking ban in effect tonight
The City of Edmonton implemented a Phase 1 parking ban on Monday at 7 p.m. for vehicles parked along major roadways, including arterial roads, collector roads and bus routes. However, people can still park on residential streets.
Parking is allowed on roads as soon as they have been cleared, so long as parking is allowed there normally. Residents should refer to the roadways snow clearing map for current clearing status of roadways.
Vehicles parked on banned roadways may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. If a vehicle has been towed, the owner should contact 311 for details.
