RCMP are investigating a highway crash that killed a 26-year-old woman Friday afternoon just west of the town of Sedgewick.
The collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Highway 13 when an SUV and a pickup truck struck each other, police said in a Saturday news release.
“The initial investigation showed that there was a head on collision,” the release said.
The woman driving the SUV, who lived in Sedgewick, was declared dead at the scene. The 19-year-old man driving the pickup was taken to an Edmonton hospital with serious injuries. No other injuries were reported,
