Kolby Wanchuk of Sherwood Park, Alberta leads the Pool B Saddle Bronc standings at the 2024 Calgary Stampede. While on the bronc Alberta Moon on Monday, Wanchuk had a score of 87.5 points.

Wanchuk is actually tied for first place in the Pool B saddle bronc aggregate standings. The other cowboy to post a score of 87.5 points was Chase Brooks of Deer Lodge, who accomplished the feat on Falkland Playboy. Wanchuk and Brooks both had $6250. In third place was Trenton Burd of Madison, Kansas, who had a score of 85 points on the bronc named Big Surprise.

It is interesting that Wanchuk comes from a rodeo family. His father Ricky was a professional rodeo clown, mother Joan was a barrel racer and brother Kyle was involved in tie-down roping. So far in 2024, Wanchuk won the Parado Del Sol in Scottsdale, Arizona.
