A look at Wednesday’s Edmonton Weather from Environment Canada.
It’s currently 17 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station with 8 km/h winds out of the west northwest.
Wildfire smoke continues to plague Albertans as Environment Canada has issued an extreme air quality advisory.
“People more likely to be impacted by wildfire smoke include seniors, pregnant women and pregnant people, people who smoke, infants and young children, people who work outdoors, people involved in strenuous outdoor exercise and people with an existing illness or chronic health condition. Those who are more likely to be impacted should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors or seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.”

As of 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) for the city of Edmonton was at a 10+, or very high risk. The forecast is expected to improve steadily to a 5 (moderate risk) by Thursday.
Let’s hope the smoke subsides enough for us to enjoy the Fringe later in the week!
