’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Angela Shares Cryptic Messages After Michael Update

A 90 Day Fiancé star who reportedly went missing has surfaced to assure fans he’s fine, as his wife posts cryptic messages online.

Angela Deem claimed her Nigerian husband Michael Ilesanmi went missing just months after finally reaching the U.S., even though the pair married in 2020.

“Michael’s been missing since the 23rd. The police are involved, we can’t find him,” she told celebrity blogger John Yates during a YouTube Live broadcast on February 26.

Deem said in the interview that Ilesanmi had left all of his belongings behind and that gave her cause for concern.

But Ilesanmi has gone public, telling fans he’s not in danger but also warned them not to follow any social media accounts claiming to be him as he was not on any platform.

“Hello, guys, this is Michael. I just want to quickly make this video to inform the public that I’m not on any social media platform right now,” he said in the video which was shared on Instagram by 90 Day Fiancé fan account, Kiki and Kibbitz.

“I mean, at this moment, when the time comes, I’ll make it official. OK, Thank you. And God bless you.”

While Newsweek has not been able to confirm when Ilesanmi recorded the video, it has not stopped his estranged wife from posting cryptic messages to her own Instagram.

Deem shared a series of quotes to her Instagram, including “someone telling lies about you,” “they hate seeing you unaffected by what they expected to upset you,” and “God said you’ll win in front of them.”

Other quotes read: “A person who doesn’t defend you while someone slanders you is your enemy too,” and “karma is going to hit some of y’all real hard for breaking people who had nothing but good intentions for you.”

Newsweek contacted Deem’s representatives by email for comment.

Deem and Ilesanmi met online in 2018 and married in 2020, with their journey documented on the TLC reality series. It took years for them to finally reconnect again when Ilesanmi migrated to the U.S. in December.

Following her initial conversation with Yates, Deem spoke to him again just hours later. She revealed she never applied for his green card and hinted she might divorce him, by saying his friends should “get him a good lawyer.”

“I love him, but I can’t take him back because what he did here proves that he don’t give a f***,” she said during a YouTube Live with Yates.

“I didn’t get his green card or his license and that’s why he’s pissed and that’s why he’s doing this,” she continued. “He’s rushed me from the goddamn day one he landed for his f***ing license and his green card. So now he’s going for the legal visa, they’ll give it to him.”

Yates later revealed Ilesanmi had contacted police to let them know he was safe but “feared” for his life and did not want Deem to know where he was.
